BGMI auto headshot config file: the truth about it, and what actually works

If you have searched for a BGMI auto headshot config file, you have almost certainly been told that it is a settings file you drop into the game to make your shots snap to an opponent’s head. That is not what it is, and this page exists to say so plainly.

Battlegrounds Mobile India has no auto headshot feature. Krafton has never shipped one. Anything sold or shared under that name is a third-party program that modifies the game client — the same category as an aimbot — and using it is the fastest way to lose your account permanently.

What a BGMI auto headshot config file actually is

A genuine config file is just stored settings: your sensitivity values, your control layout, your graphics preferences. BGMI keeps those on its own servers and syncs them to your account. You change them inside the game, and you can share a control layout through the in-game code system.

What gets circulated as an “auto headshot config” is different. It is a file you are told to copy into the game’s own directory, replacing files the game shipped with. That is client modification. Whether it claims to auto-aim, remove recoil or reveal players through walls, the mechanism is the same and so is Krafton’s response to it.

What happens to your account

Krafton’s position on unauthorised programs is not ambiguous. Using, developing, advertising, trading or distributing an unauthorised program or device is grounds for a permanent ban — not a warning, not a temporary suspension. Where the security system attributes the cheat to a handset rather than an account, the device itself can be banned, which means a fresh account on the same phone will not save you.

This is enforced at scale, publicly and continuously. Krafton runs regular ban waves under its Anti-Cheat system and publishes the numbers, which have run into the hundreds of thousands of accounts in a single month and, across bigger sweeps, into the millions. The odds of quietly getting away with it are not good, and detection often lands weeks after the fact — long after you have put time and money into the account.

There is a second cost people underrate. Sites distributing these files are not charities; the file is the bait. Sideloading an APK or a “config pack” from an unknown host means granting install permissions to software nobody has vetted, on the phone that holds your UPI apps, your messages and your logins. Credential theft and account resale are common outcomes, and a banned BGMI account is then the smaller of your two problems.

What actually raises your headshot rate

The honest answer is duller than a download link, but it is the one that survives a ban wave. Headshot rate in BGMI comes down to four things you can change legitimately today:

• Sensitivity that matches your grip. This is the single biggest lever, and it is not one magic number — camera, ADS and gyro sensitivity all need setting separately. • Gyroscope. Full gyro is how most high-level players hold recoil on a head-level line. It is uncomfortable for about a week and then it is not.

• Frame rate. More frames means your input lands sooner and tracking is smoother. Check whether your handset supports 90 or 120 FPS in our BGMI 90 and 120 FPS device list, and turn it on — it is a real, permitted advantage that a config file cannot beat.

Then put the reps in. TDM and the training ground exist for exactly this, and 20 minutes of deliberate practice on head-level tracking will do more for your stats this month than any file you can download.

Is it ever safe to download a BGMI config file?

No file from outside the game is safe to place in the game’s directory, whatever it promises. If you want someone else’s settings, use what BGMI provides: sensitivity codes and control layout codes, shared and applied inside the game. Those are the official mechanism, they carry no ban risk, and they do the only legitimate thing an “auto headshot config” ever claimed to do — copy a good player’s setup onto your phone.
