Team SouL started Sunday fourth in the BGMI Showdown Grand Finals, 28 points behind Team 8Bit with six matches to play at the Savaaya Convention in Hyderabad. They ended it as champions. SouL took 67 points on the final day to finish on 155, 14 clear of Gladiators Esports, while 8Bit, who had led after each of the first two days, slipped to third on 140.
The title is worth ₹30 lakh of the ₹1 crore prize pool. It also sends SouL to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026 in Türkiye as India’s champions.
Won on points, after match 17 got away
The last day ran under the Smash Rule. 8Bit’s 116 after match 12 set the match-point line at 126, and the first team over it to win a game would be champion. If nobody managed that by the end of match 18, the trophy would go to whoever had the most points.
SouL were first across the line. Their win in match 14 on Erangel, their second chicken dinner of the finals after the last game on Saturday, took them to 127. From then on one more win would have finished it, and in match 17 on Miramar they were close, until Version1 x Blue Army took the chicken dinner instead. Blue Army won match 18 as well. None of the other teams over 126 could win a game either, so SouL won the title on points.
Their 103 finish points were the most in the lobby, 14 more than 8Bit managed. Gladiators had the most placement points, 58, and had climbed from eighth on 73 after Saturday. 8Bit won three chicken dinners, more than anyone, but all three came in the first two days, and they added 24 points on Sunday.
Six through to Mumbai, and Blue Army one short
The top six go to the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026 at the Dome, SVP Indoor Stadium, Mumbai, from 30 October to 1 November, where they will play five teams from South Korea and five from Japan. Alongside SouL, Gladiators and 8Bit, that means K9 Esports (135), Blitz Epigrotive Gaming (133) and Team Outrage (123).
Blue Army are the hard-luck story. They were 13th on 55 after day two, matched SouL’s 67 points on Sunday with those two late wins, and finished seventh on 122. That is one point behind Outrage. Welt Esports were eighth on 120 and Meta Ninza ninth on 113. Team Apex Gaming, who won the semi-finals, finished tenth on 98.
Awards, and a second title of the year
8Bit’s Shubh was named tournament MVP. SouL’s Legit was Finals MVP and also took the Grenadier award, and Blitz’s Areeb was best IGL.
It is SouL’s second major BGMI title of 2026, after BGIS. A year ago they were third at the 2025 BGMI Showdown, which Orangutan won with 147 points. The defending champions did not even reach Hyderabad this time, finishing ninth in the Last Chance stage.
