Team Apex Gaming won the BGMI Showdown semis by six points, and the Grand Finals start in Hyderabad on Friday
Sixteen teams play 18 matches over three days for a PMGC 2026 place and six BMIC spots, with a match-point rule deciding the champion on day three.

Forty-eight teams started the BGMI Showdown on 22 September. Sixteen are left, and the Grand Finals start at the Savaaya Convention in Hyderabad on Friday, 16 October.
There is ₹1 crore in prize money, ₹30 lakh of it for the winner, but the bigger prize is the ticket that comes with first place. The champion goes to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026, and the top six all qualify for the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026. Ten of the 16 will leave Hyderabad with neither.
Who made it
Eight of the 16 came through the semi-finals, which finished on 11 October. Team Apex Gaming topped that stage with 152 points and two chicken dinners, ahead of Nebula Esports on 146 and Team Soul on 137. K9 Esports, Blue Army, GodLike Esports, Team Outrage and Gladiators Esports took the other five places.
Four more qualified straight from Group A of the qualifiers: Meta Ninza, Team 8Bit, Revenant XSpark and Blitz Epigrotive Gaming. The last four came out of Tuesday’s Last Chance stage, with Myth Official, Welt Esports, Genesis Esports and Wyld Fangs getting through.
The name missing is Orangutan. Last year’s Showdown champions finished ninth in the Last Chance on 79 points, five places short of a ticket to Hyderabad, and they will play neither PMGC nor BMIC this year.
How the title is decided
There are 18 matches over three days, six a day. The first two days are a straight points race. Day three is where it gets complicated.
After match 12, the organisers take the leader’s total and add 10 points. Any team that reaches that number becomes match-point eligible, and the first eligible team to win a match is the champion. If nobody pulls that off in the last six games, the title goes to whoever has the most points after match 18.
That rule matters. A team can lead for two days and still lose the title to a side that gets to match point late and takes one chicken dinner. Apex finished the semi-finals with two of them, and they lead the field on form going in. But six points separated them from Nebula, and nine more covered Team Soul.
