Free Fire auto headshot config file: why it is a ban, not a setting

Search for a Free Fire auto headshot config file and you will find plenty of pages telling you it is a clever settings trick that snaps your aim to an opponent’s head. It is not. Free Fire has no auto headshot setting, Garena has never released one, and every file offered under that name is a third-party modification of the game client.

Garena treats that as cheating, and the penalty is permanent. This page explains what these files really are, what happens when you use one, and what actually improves your headshot rate in Free Fire and Free Fire MAX.

There is no auto headshot config in Free Fire

A real config in Free Fire means your own stored preferences — sensitivity, HUD layout, graphics. You set them in the game, on your account. Nothing in that system aims for you.

An “auto headshot config file” asks you to do something different: download a file from an unknown host and copy it into the game’s own folders, replacing files Garena shipped. Whatever the file claims to do — auto-aim, no recoil, wider hitboxes — the mechanism is client modification, and that is the specific thing Garena’s anti-hack system is built to detect.

What Garena does about it

Garena’s anti-hack policy is unusually blunt for a games company. Using any unauthorised third-party program, modifying the game client, or playing on a modified client to access functions that do not exist in the official game is prohibited outright. Headshot hacks sit squarely inside that definition.

The consequences, in Garena’s own terms: accounts used for cheating are permanently banned; the device used for cheating is also banned, so a new account on the same phone will not get you back in; and an account banned for cheating will not be unbanned under any circumstances. There is no appeal path that ends well.

The other risk has nothing to do with Garena. The sites hosting these files make their money from what you install, not from your K/D. Sideloading an APK or config pack from an unvetted host means handing install permissions to software nobody has checked, on the same phone that holds your payment apps and your logins. Stolen credentials and resold accounts are routine outcomes. A Free Fire ban would be the cheaper half of that.

What actually improves your headshot rate

Headshots in Free Fire come from a small number of things, all of them permitted:

• Sensitivity tuned per slider. General, red dot, 2x, 4x and sniper each need their own value, and copying a single number across all of them is why most players’ aim feels inconsistent. • Crosshair placement. Hold your aim at head height while you move. If your reticle is already level when a fight starts, a one-tap is a small correction rather than a flick.
• A custom HUD you can actually reach. Fire button size and position decide whether you can adjust aim and shoot at the same time. Move them until nothing requires you to shift your grip mid-fight.
• Frame rate and thermals. A phone that throttles halfway through a match loses you more fights than your aim does. Close background apps, keep the handset cool, and use the highest frame-rate setting it can actually hold.

Then use the training ground. Twenty focused minutes on head-level tracking beats any download, and it is still yours next season.

What about free diamonds?

The same rule applies to the “diamond hack” pages that usually sit alongside these files: there is no working generator, and the ones advertised are data-harvesting fronts. The legitimate routes are Garena’s own — in-game events, redeem codes issued by the developer, and the Advance Server’s Bug Hunter Program, which pays diamonds for being the first to report a genuine bug. Anything else is asking you to trade your account for nothing.
