The two biggest wins were by 215 runs and 182 runs, both against Croatia in Cartagena in December 2025.

The streak ended on 21 August 2026, when Portugal beat Spain by 57 runs at Kerava in Finland, three days after win number 24 against Bulgaria.

Karnataka and Kolkata: the Indian records

Karnataka’s 15 is the most by an Indian team. The run started in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2018 and carried them through the 2018-19 edition unbeaten. They beat Maharashtra by eight wickets in the final for their first title. Baroda ended the streak by 14 runs on 9 November 2019, but Karnataka went on to keep the trophy, beating Tamil Nadu by one run in the final in Surat. All the winners are in our Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy winners list.

In the Indian T20 League, Kolkata won 14 in a row in 2014. They won only two of their first seven matches that season, five of which were played in the UAE, then won their last nine to take the title. Five more wins followed at the Champions League T20 in Hyderabad, before Chennai beat them by eight wickets in the final in Bengaluru on 4 October 2014.
