Hakimi had never scored a hat-trick, and he had a hand in all five of PSG’s goals at Le Havre
Achraf Hakimi scored three and set up two more as Paris Saint-Germain came from a goal down to win 5-1 at Le Havre on Friday.

Hakimi had never scored a hat-trick in his professional career. He got one at the Stade Océane, playing at right-back, and set up two of the other goals as well. All five PSG goals went through him, which would be a decent night’s work for a striker, never mind a full-back.
It did not start that way. Josh Maja put Le Havre ahead after 18 minutes, finishing off a quick counter from Rayan Fofana’s cross, and for a while a PSG side with five changes from Monday’s 2-0 win over Lyon looked in for an awkward night.
Two goals in two minutes
Hakimi got round his man on the right and pulled the ball back for Mika Godts to equalise in the 26th minute. Two minutes later he was in behind the defence himself, from Senny Mayulu’s pass, and beat goalkeeper Arnaud Bodart at his near post. VAR had a look, and the goal stood.
His second came ten minutes after the break, a free kick curled in from just outside the box. Mayulu, back in the side, made it 4-1 on 62 minutes, running onto Hakimi’s through ball and scoring after Bodart came rushing out.
The third was the scruffiest of the lot. Godts broke down the left, Bodart saved Hakimi’s first attempt in the 69th minute, and the rebound bounced in off Hakimi. He was taken off soon after.
“It is a great night for me, mostly because we won, but also because it is my first hat-trick,” he told PSG TV.
A record for Luis Enrique
Hakimi had the armband, with Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia still injured. The win was Luis Enrique’s 127th as PSG coach, which takes him past Laurent Blanc as the most successful in the club’s history. “I’m lucky enough to manage a club of this level and to have incredible players,” he said.
PSG did not win any of their first three league games this season. They have now won six straight in Ligue 1 and nine in a row in all competitions, and they have 20 points from nine games, two clear of Lille. Olivier Giroud scored in the 86th minute for Lille to beat Lens 1-0 later on Friday. Le Havre stay bottom, still without a win.
Next is a Champions League trip to Villarreal on Tuesday, which kicks off at 1:30am IST on Wednesday. Villarreal lost 1-0 at home to Espanyol on Friday night.
