Mysterious4 lead Group C, WindGod take Group B as BMPS 2026 qualifiers tip off

Mysterious4 lit up the opening day of BMPS 2026 Round 1 qualifiers on Wednesday, racking up 46 points from three matches in Group C and finishing the day nine points clear of the second-placed side. WindGod Esports led Group B with 37, sitting seven ahead of 7Gods Esports as Krafton's new BGMI promotion-relegation cycle officially kicked into action.
Day 1 belonged to Groups B and C, who played three matches each across Rondo, Erangel and Miramar. Group D opens its run later in the qualifier window, with Group A's seeded sides also playing their Round 1 matches across the same period.
Group C: Mysterious4 set the early pace
Mysterious4's 46 points was the standout return of the day in either group, built on consistent placement and steady kill counts across all three games. T7XORION Esports were the closest challengers on 37, with Rapid Chaos Esports a further three points back on 34. Rising Esports rounded out the top four on 28, with Ares Esports on 25 also still in the mix for promotion.
The gap between fourth and fifth in Group C is already notable. With three points the difference between Rising and Ares on Day 1, mid-table teams will need to climb fast across the remaining matches. Six total matches make up the Round 1 qualifier per group, leaving three more for each side to lock down a top-four finish and the promotion that comes with it.
Group B: WindGod take charge, iQOO 8Bit hold a top-four spot
Group B was tighter at the top. WindGod Esports' 37 points led the way, with 7Gods Esports a close second on 30 and iQOO 8Bit third on 27. Lastade Esports sat in the fourth and final promotion spot on 25, with Team H4K and K9 Esports level on 21 just outside the cut.
The middle of the table is bunched. NAQSH Esports, RiotNationz and HiggBoson Esports are all on 19, three points off the promotion spots, meaning the next two days could redraw the order entirely. Team Apex Gaming sit near the bottom on 14, with three matches left to climb.
Why the format matters this season
BMPS 2026 is the first edition under Krafton's full promotion-relegation cycle, with the qualifiers feeding directly into a Pro League next season for the teams that come through. The top four from each of Groups B, C and D earn promotion at the end of Round 1, and the bottom-placed sides face relegation pressure across the rest of the tournament.
The competition runs from May 6 to May 31, with matches across Rondo, Erangel and Miramar and Krafton's new Global Points table tracking standings throughout. For the established orgs, this is the first real test of how the pyramid works in practice. For the smaller teams, it is an open lane into Indian esports' top tier that has not existed in this form before.
