Team Tamilas finished joint bottom of the BGMS league, and first on the table that decides the Grand Finals
BGMS Season 5 runs two leaderboards side by side and they disagree completely. Tamilas and Elite Nova are level on 171 points at the bottom of one, and first and second on the one that sends six teams straight to the Grand Finals.

Team Tamilas finished joint bottom of the BGMS Season 5 league table on 171 points. They are also the team that qualified for the Grand Finals in first place. Both of those things are true, neither is a typo, and the reason is that NODWIN’s format runs two leaderboards that measure completely different things.
Two tables, and only one of them sends you through
BGMS Season 5 has kept a League leaderboard and a Super Weekend leaderboard running side by side since 10 August. The League leaderboard collects points from the three League Weeks. The Super Weekend leaderboard collects them from the two Super Weekends. Six teams went straight to the Grand Finals off the Super Weekend leaderboard, and the League leaderboard decided which of the rest got a playoff seat.
Here is the catch. Doing well in a Super Weekend is what keeps you out of the next League Week. Finish in the top eight of Super Weekend 1 and you skip League Week 3 entirely, which means you bank no League points for four days while the teams you beat are busy collecting them.
So Team Tamilas and Elite Nova, on 171 points each, sit level at the bottom of a League leaderboard that Apex Gaming top on 786. On the leaderboard that actually decides Grand Finals places, Tamilas are first on 460 and Elite Nova second on 456. Apex are 11th and are in the playoffs.
The six who are already through
Tamilas and Elite Nova are joined by Team SouL on 434, Nebula Esports on 402, Gladiators Esports on 396 and Myth Official on 391. Genesis Esports also finished on 391 and are not in that list, which is the sort of thing that happens when a three-week tournament comes down to a tiebreak.
Ten more places are being decided at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in Delhi NCR right now. Sixteen teams, 18 matches across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, six a day from 3.30pm IST, ten through and six going home. Teams get four Placement Cards for this stage, each one doubling their placement points for a chosen match, which is a lot of leverage to spend on six games a day.
Day three of the final has a sudden-death rule
The Grand Finals run from 4 to 6 September, six matches a day, and the last day does not work like the others. After match 12 the organisers take the leader’s total, add 20, and that number becomes the Match Point threshold. Any team that reaches it is Match Point Eligible, and the first eligible team to win a match outright is champion on the spot.
If nobody manages it inside the six matches, the team with the most points wins in the ordinary way. It is a format built to produce a moment rather than a spreadsheet, and it means a team sitting fourth going into the last day can still finish first.
The prize pool is 1.01 crore rupees. The winners take 40 lakh, second place 15 lakh, third 6 lakh and fourth 4.5 lakh, with the rest shared down to 26th.
