BGMI WOW mode codes: the map codes, and how to use them

WOW stands for World of Wonder, and it is the part of Battlegrounds Mobile India built around an in-game map editor — most of what you play there was made by other players, not by Krafton. A map code is the shortcut to a specific one. Enter it in the WOW tab and the game loads that map directly, without you having to hunt for it in a list.

Below are the codes that have been in circulation since WOW landed, the three educational maps that use a completely different code format, and a warning about the longer code lists doing the rounds.

BGMI WOW mode map codes

These eight have been the standard set since WOW arrived in BGMI, and they are the ones every guide reproduces.

All eight share the same dashed nine-digit shape. That is not the only format in use, though, which is where most of the confusion around WOW codes starts — see the next section.

The three educational WOW maps, and their codes

In February 2025, Krafton India put out three WOW maps built to teach something rather than to be won. They are worth listing separately because their codes are five digits, not the dashed format above — which looks like a mistake and is not.

Krafton called them BGMI’s first educational maps and framed the idea as gaming being used for awareness and behaviour change rather than only entertainment. They play as maps, not lectures: Road Safety Rally drops you into simulated traffic and scores you on helmets, signals and pedestrian crossings, and Save Verdantia casts you as an eco-investigator dealing with pollution, waste and tree planting.

How to enter a WOW map code

The route has not changed since WOW launched:

Step 1: From the lobby, tap the map selection panel at the bottom left of the screen.

Step 2: Switch to the WOW tab.

Step 3: Enter the code exactly as written, dashes included, and the map loads.

If it does not load, start with the boring explanation. Codes are exact, so a missing dash, a stray space or a 0 typed as an O is enough to break one. Then check that your game is fully updated, and bear in mind that a player-made map can be taken down by its creator, in which case no amount of retyping will bring it back.

Be careful with the long code lists

Search for WOW codes and you will find pages promising 20 or more. Read them closely before you spend an evening typing.

Past the eight above, the extra entries on those lists tend to share two features. The names could describe any shooter ever made — Desert Duel, Forest Frenzy, Beach Brawl, Ice Arena — and the codes step through a tidy arithmetic sequence: 050, 060, 065, 070, 080, then on in round numbers to 150. We could not tie a single one of them to a Krafton announcement or to any first-hand account of playing it.

Entering one is harmless — at worst the map does not load. But a list is not better for being longer, and a page that pads eight real codes out to 21 is telling you something about how it was written.

You do not actually need a code

This is the part the code lists skip. The WOW tab is a catalogue as much as a code box: new maps surface there as they are published, and Krafton’s own line on the mode is that themed maps arrive from players every single day. A code is worth having when you want one specific map immediately. For everything else, opening the tab and looking is faster than typing a nine-digit string.

What is in WOW mode right now

BGMI is on version 4.5, the 5th Anniversary Edition, which began rolling out on 16 July 2026. Krafton put the WOW creator base at more than 50,000 map designers at that point — a scale that explains why the WOW library bears no resemblance to the eight maps it started with.

Two modes made with the creator DoBiG arrived with the update — Steal a Brain Rot and Shoot a Brain Rot — mixing straightforward shooting with tycoon-style progression between rounds. A week later, on 23 July, two Naruto-themed WOW maps followed: Valley of the End and Konoha Village, tied to the Naruto collaboration that opened alongside 4.5 and runs into September.

On that evidence, new WOW content arrives with the big updates and the collaborations rather than on its own schedule — which makes the featured list a better guide to what is currently worth playing than any codes page, this one included.

Where WOW mode came from

World of Wonder is not a BGMI invention. It started in PUBG Mobile, Krafton’s global build, in 2023, and the headline feature was never the maps — it was the editor. Players were handed a kit of building prefabs, materials and decorations and left to construct their own maps. Roughly 5,500 creators built around 2,000 custom maps in the mode’s opening stretch.

WOW reached BGMI in the 3.1 update in July 2024, and the eight codes at the top of this page date from that rollout. The scale of the thing is what has changed since: from a few thousand early creators in PUBG Mobile to more than 50,000 map designers in BGMI two years on.

BGMI WOW mode: quick answers

What does WOW stand for in BGMI? World of Wonder. It is the user-generated side of the game, where maps and modes are built by players in an in-game editor.

Do I need a map code to play WOW mode? No. A code jumps you straight to one specific map, but the WOW tab is browsable on its own.

Why is my WOW map code not working? Usually a typo — the codes are exact. Otherwise, check that the game is updated, and remember that a player-made map can be taken down by whoever made it.

Can I build my own WOW map? Yes. The creation tools are part of the mode, and more than 50,000 people were using them as of July 2026.

Is WOW mode free? Yes. It is part of the base game, like any other mode in the lobby.
