AG.AL won the Club Championship at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Paris, ending Team Falcons’ two-year hold on the overall title and taking the $7 million first prize. The third edition ran from 2 July to 23 August 2026 with 25 events across 24 games. Here is every champion, runner-up and third place, and how India’s teams got on.
Esports World Cup 2026 at a glance
The event had been due to stay in Riyadh, where the first two editions and both editions of its predecessor Gamers8 were held. In May 2026 it was moved to Paris because of security concerns linked to the war in the region, with the main venues at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and the Accor Arena. Our report on the move to Paris covers what it meant for Indian qualifiers.
The total prize pool was $75 million, up from $71.5 million in 2025. Of that, $30 million went to the top 24 clubs in the Club Championship and $39 million to the individual game championships.
Club Championship: AG.AL take the crown
Clubs earn points for results across every game, so the Club Championship rewards depth rather than one big win. AG.AL, the Chinese organisation All Gamers competing under one banner with its Anyone’s Legend and international divisions, won Tekken 8 and Trackmania and finished second in chess, Free Fire and Honor of Kings. Falcons, champions in 2024 and 2025, won Rocket League and Street Fighter 6 and finished second overall.
