Pakistan beat India by 191 runs in last year’s Under-19 Asia Cup final, and the two meet again in Muscat on Sunday
Both sides won their Group A openers on Friday, and only two of the four teams go through to the semi-finals.

The last time these two met at an Under-19 Asia Cup, it was the final in Dubai and it was not close. Pakistan made 347 for 8 on 21 December 2025, Sameer Minhas hit 172 off 113 balls, and India were bowled out for 156 in 26.2 overs. Pakistan won by 191 runs.
India get another go at them in Muscat on Sunday, 8 November. The game starts at 10:30am IST.
Both sides started in a hurry
India opened with a 10-wicket win over Nepal on Friday. Ishan Sood took 3 for 18, Nepal were bowled out for 128, and Aaryavir Sehwag (70 not out off 52 balls) and captain Lakshya Raichandani (53 not out) knocked off the runs in 19.1 overs.
Pakistan were nearly as quick. The UAE were bowled out for 224, and Pakistan got there for the loss of one wicket in 37.3 overs. Opener Usman Khan made 139 not out off 120 balls, with 21 fours and a six, and shared an opening stand of 153 with Jahangir Bilal, who made 60. Mohammad Sayyam took 3 for 37 earlier in the day.
Both teams have two points, and India’s faster chase has them top of Group A on net run rate. Only the top two go through to the semi-finals on 12 November. Sunday’s winner will be close to through. The loser will probably need to win their last group game on 10 November, India against the UAE or Pakistan against Nepal.
India won the last meeting
The Dubai final is not the most recent result between them. At the Under-19 World Cup in Bulawayo on 1 February 2026, India made 252 and bowled Pakistan out for 194 to win by 58 runs, which sent India into the semi-finals and knocked Pakistan out. Sayyam played in that game too.
This India side comes with famous surnames. Aaryavir is Virender Sehwag’s son, and wicketkeeper Anvay Dravid is Rahul Dravid’s. Both came into the squad off big Vinoo Mankad Trophy hundreds, 173 for Aaryavir and 151 for Anvay. Against Nepal, Anvay kept wicket and was not needed with the bat. Against a Pakistan attack that has already bowled one side out this week, he may be.
