Milan had not scored a league goal against Juventus since 2023, and a 19-year-old substitute ended it in eight minutes
Alphadjo Cisse came on in the 60th minute and scored in the 68th. Federico Gatti headed Juventus level two minutes into stoppage time.

Ruben Amorim made three changes at once on the hour at the Allianz Stadium, and one of them was a 19-year-old. Eight minutes later Alphadjo Cisse had scored, and Milan had a Serie A goal against Juventus for the first time since Olivier Giroud got one in May 2023.
It lasted until the 92nd minute. Federico Gatti, a centre-back, got his head to a Teun Koopmeiners cross at the back post, and Juventus took the point their evening had probably deserved.
Juventus had it, and could not finish it
Luciano Spalletti’s side spent long stretches of this game in Milan’s half without much to show for it. Nicolas Gonzalez tried his luck from distance and Mike Maignan punched it away. Francisco Conceicao hit the post in the 55th minute, which is the sort of thing that gets remembered when a game finishes the way this one did.
Milan, for most of it, were not really trying to play. They defended, they let Juventus have the ball in areas where the ball is not dangerous, and they waited.
One shot on target, one goal
The wait ended on the hour, when Amorim sent on Cisse, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Samuel Chukwueze together. In the 68th minute Chukwueze carried the ball forward and slid it wide to Cisse, who cut inside and bent a finish into the far bottom corner. It was Milan’s first shot on target all night.
Cisse turned 19 last October. He scored on the opening weekend of the season at Torino too, which made him the youngest Italian to score a Serie A goal for Milan since Patrick Cutrone in 2017. Two goals in three games is a strange thing to say about a teenager who keeps starting on the bench.
Nobody lost, and both of them lost ground
Gatti’s header means Juventus and Milan are both unbeaten after three matches, both on seven points, both level with Como on goal difference behind them. That reads fine until you look up: Roma are on nine and Inter are on nine, and neither has dropped anything yet.
Three games is nothing. But Milan came to Turin with a plan to take a point and nearly took three, and Juventus dominated a match they finished by celebrating a defender’s header. Neither side will feel it has learned much it did not already suspect.
