Chiki has scored in all four of Goa’s games, and winless SC Delhi come to Fatorda having led in both of theirs
Gouramangi Singh’s side have won once this season and are still waiting for a clean sheet, and Delhi have twice lost from in front.

FC Goa have played four competitive games this season and Chiki has scored in every one of them. They have still won only one. The Gaurs are back at Fatorda tonight for their second ISL game, against a Sporting Club Delhi side that has led in both of its matches and lost both, and kick-off is at 7:30pm IST.
Goa’s late start
Goa are a game or two behind most of the league because of Asia. Their AFC Challenge League group was played in Kuwait between 17 and 23 October. They led FC Regar-TadAZ and lost 2-1 to two late goals, beat Fortis FC 2-1 with Chiki’s 85th-minute winner, and then lost 2-1 to Al-Qadsia on 23 October. That finished them third in the group, and only the group winners and the best runner-up in the West Zone went through.
Their one ISL game so far was the 1-1 draw with Chennaiyin FC at Fatorda on 10 October. Irfan Yadwad put Chennaiyin ahead in the 64th minute, and Chiki headed in the equaliser from a free kick 11 minutes later. The Spanish forward has four of Goa’s five goals this season. The trouble is at the other end: Goa have not kept a clean sheet in any of those four games.
This is also Gouramangi Singh’s first season in charge. The former India defender was promoted from assistant in July, after Manolo Márquez left for Mumbai City. “Every game is important,” he said on the eve of this one. “Our game against Delhi is particularly important for us.”
Chiki would happily swap a few of those goals for points. “I prefer scoring goals for getting wins,” he said.
Delhi keep giving leads away
Sporting Club Delhi have no points from two games, and both defeats followed the same script. They were 2-1 up at half-time against Bengaluru FC on the opening day and lost 3-2. Then, in front of 14,971 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on 16 October, Lalrinliana Hnamte gave them the lead against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the 23rd minute, and Lee Erwin and Miguel Figueira scored within four minutes of each other after the break to win it 2-1 for the visitors.
Head coach Tomasz Tchórz is not reading too much into the results. “I am very happy with the performance of the team. I think we played a very good game,” he said. Defender Clarence Fernandes was blunter: “We should know how to hold the lead.”
There is a homecoming in the Delhi defence, too. Sanatomba Singh Yanglem used to play for Goa.
The only other meeting
These sides have played once before in the ISL, at Fatorda in February 2026. Dejan Dražić scored just before half-time, Goa won 1-0, and Dražić still managed to blaze a second-half penalty over the bar.
I expect Goa to win this one, but not comfortably. Delhi have scored in both their games and have found a way to lose from in front each time, and a Goa side that keeps conceding is exactly the kind of opponent who could let them hold on for once. If Chiki scores early, though, Delhi’s record of folding after the break suggests Fatorda will be a long evening for them.
