Sony Sports Network runs 11 feeds across five languages. Here is which channel carries which sport, what Sony holds the rights to in India, and what has moved elsewhere.

Sony Sports Network runs 11 sports feeds in India across five languages, and what you get on any given night depends entirely on which of them you turn to. There is no fixed weekly grid that holds from one week to the next — the schedule follows whatever the network has the rights to at that point in the season.
What does hold steady is which channel carries which kind of sport, and which competitions are on Sony at all. That is what this page sets out: the current channel line-up, what Sony Sports has the rights to in India, and — just as usefully — what it does not have, so you know when to look somewhere else. Sony Sports Network channels in India
The network is built around five numbered channels. Ten 1, Ten 2, Ten 3 and Ten 5 each run an SD and an HD feed, and Ten 4 exists as three separate regional-language channels. Counted the way distributors count them, that is 11 feeds.

The Kannada channel is the newest of them, launched on 1 April 2026 to go after the Karnataka market. It is the first of five South Indian language channels Sony has lined up, though the rest are general entertainment rather than sport.
The practical takeaway is that a marquee match is usually on more than one channel at once — the English feed on Ten 1 or Ten 2, the Hindi call on Ten 3, and the regional calls on the Ten 4 channels. If your language feed is showing something else, the same match is almost certainly running in English elsewhere on the network.
What Sony Sports shows: cricket
Sony’s cricket rights are held through the host boards rather than through the BCCI, and that one fact explains most of what does and does not turn up on these channels.

Because these are host-board deals, India’s away tours to Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand land on Sony Sports. India’s home series do not — those belong to the BCCI’s own broadcast deal, which is a different network entirely. It is a common reason people go looking for an India match on Sony and cannot find it.
What Sony Sports shows: football and everything else
Football is the network’s other pillar, and the UEFA package is the centrepiece.

The ISL arrangement is worth understanding, because it changed shape recently. The league was suspended in July 2025 while the AIFF and FSDL argued over the master rights agreement, and when it came back it did so under a federation-governed model with FanCode holding the primary digital rights. Sony came in as the linear television partner by sub-licence, which is why ISL sits on Ten 2 rather than on a Sony-branded digital platform. The 2025-26 season eventually kicked off on 14 February 2026 as a shortened edition.
On the European side, Sony has carried the Champions League in India continuously through the competition’s switch to the 36-team league phase, so the full run of recent finals has been on these channels.
What is not on Sony Sports
This is the half of the picture that trips people up. The cricket rights below have sat where they are for years, but the wrestling moved recently enough that older schedules still get it wrong.

The WWE change is the one most likely to catch out anyone working from an older schedule. Wrestling ran on Sony’s Ten channels in India for more than two decades, and it moved to Netflix from April 2025 as part of WWE’s global deal with the streamer. There is no Sony simulcast — Netflix has kept it exclusive rather than sub-licensing it back to an Indian broadcaster.
How to watch Sony Sports in India
On television. The Ten channels are carried by the major DTH and cable operators. Channel numbers are not standardised — they differ by operator, and the SD and HD feeds of the same channel sit on different numbers — so use your provider’s own guide rather than a number quoted on a website.
Streaming. SonyLIV is the network’s own platform and carries what the television channels carry. Separately, JioTV holds non-exclusive streaming rights to the UEFA Champions League as a Sony content partner, running on the same 2024-25 to 2026-27 cycle as the television deal.
For the schedule itself. Because the grid moves week to week, the reliable sources are SonyLIV’s own listings or your set-top box guide. Any fixed weekly schedule published on a web page is out of date within days — which is the honest reason this page tells you what each channel is for instead.
