Nebula have 107 points after day one of the BGMS finals, and second place has 59
Two Chicken Dinners in the first three games gave Nebula Esports a lead at the BGMS Season 5 Grand Finals that the other fifteen teams may struggle to close.

Nebula Esports played six matches on the opening day of the BGMS Season 5 Grand Finals and finished on 107 points. Reckoning Esports, in second place, have 59.
That is the kind of lead that normally takes a full tournament to build. Nebula built it on Friday at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in Chhatarpur, with two days and twelve matches still to play.
Thirty-eight points in the first game
The opener on Rondo went to Nebula for 38 points. Gladiators were the next best side in that match on 22, with Reckoning, Rapid Chaos and 7Gods on 18, 17 and 16.
Nebula then took 16 on Erangel in a game Revenant XSpark won with 20, before landing their second Chicken Dinner on Miramar in match three for 22. Genesis were the only other team to do much in that one, with 18.
They did not win again. Reckoning took match four on Rondo with 19, Orangutan won the fifth on Miramar for 23, and Team Tamilas closed the day with a 16-point Chicken Dinner on Erangel. Nebula still added 18 in the Orangutan game, which is the detail the other fifteen teams should find uncomfortable. They are banking points in matches they are losing.
Behind them, almost nothing
Reckoning are on 59, Elite Nova 58, Orangutan 53, Revenant XSpark and Rapid Chaos 52 each, Gladiators 49, 7Gods and Apex 46 apiece, Team Tamilas and Genesis 45 each. That is ten teams inside 14 points of one another.
Twelve matches is a lot of BGMI, and every one of those positions will move before Sunday night. Second place is genuinely open. First place is a different conversation.
Soul are 14th, Myth are last
Team Soul, one of the biggest names in Indian BGMI, sit 14th on 34 points. Team 8Bit are 15th on 30.
Myth are bottom on 11. They and Nebula arrived here by the same route, finishing in the top six of the Super Weekend leaderboard and skipping the playoffs that the other ten finalists had to survive. One day in, 96 points separate them.
The last twelve matches run on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 4pm IST each day, with a prize pool of a little over a crore to divide at the end of it.
