Nebula did not win a match on Sunday, and still won BGMS Season 5 by 21 points
Gladiators Esports outscored Nebula by 32 points on the final day at the NODWIN Gaming Arena. It made no difference, because the title had been settled on Friday and Saturday.

Nebula Esports did not win a single match on the last day of the BGMI Masters Series Season 5 Grand Finals. They scored 26 points across the six games. Gladiators Esports scored 58 in the same six and won two of them, and it still was not enough, because Nebula had spent the previous two days building a lead nobody could get near.
Nebula finished on 210 points and took the ₹40 lakh first prize at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in Delhi NCR on Sunday. Gladiators were second on 189, iQOO Orangutan third on 187.
Two days of work, one day of hanging on
Friday was the day that decided it. Nebula took two Chicken Dinners in the first six matches and closed the opening day on 107 points. Gladiators had 49. Reckoning Esports, second at that stage, had 59.
Saturday did not change much. Nebula won two more games, on Erangel and Miramar, and went to 184. Gladiators moved to 131. The gap had narrowed by five points in twelve hours of play, which is another way of saying it had not narrowed at all.
Then Sunday. Gladiators won the opening game on Rondo and the closing one on Erangel. Orangutan took both Miramar matches. Rapid Chaos and 8Bit had the other two. Nebula collected 26 points from six matches without troubling the top of a single one, and crossed the line 21 clear.
Orangutan killed more than anyone and finished third
The most eliminations at the Grand Finals belonged to Orangutan. They had 120 across the 18 games, against Nebula’s 116 and Gladiators’ 114. On frags alone they win the tournament.
Placement is where it went. Nebula banked 66 points from where they finished in matches, Gladiators 62, Orangutan 46. Orangutan finished 23 points behind Nebula overall and 20 of those came from placement alone, which their four extra kills were never going to cover. They also had three Chicken Dinners to the four that Nebula and Gladiators each took.
It is the oldest lesson in battle royale and it does not stop being true. Fragging hard is worth something. Being alive at the end is worth more.
Fifth attempt for Aadi
Nebula are led in game by Aadi, and this was his fifth BGMS. He had never won one. The rest of the roster is KnowMe, Phoenix, Kratos and Arjun.
Yash Negi, who plays as KnowMe, took the MVP award for the finals with 37 eliminations and left with a TVS bike alongside the trophy. Hunterz of Genesis Esports was named Most Wicked Player for 249 eliminations across every stage of the season, and got a bike of his own.
Second place was worth ₹15 lakh to Gladiators, third ₹6 lakh to Orangutan, out of a pool of a little over a crore.
SouL and 8Bit had a quiet weekend
iQOO Team SouL finished eighth on 136 points, level with iQOO Team Tamilas and behind them on the split. 8Bit came eleventh on 126 despite the biggest bonus-point haul in the room.
IRIS MYTH finished bottom of the sixteen. Six teams had skipped the playoffs entirely by finishing in the top six of the Super Weekend leaderboard, and Myth and Nebula were two of them. One of the two went home with 40 lakh.
