Myth won four chicken dinners and finished sixth, and Gladiators won three and missed the cut
Eight teams came through BGMS Season 5’s first Super Weekend in Delhi, and the ones who won the most matches were not all among them.

Myth Official won four chicken dinners across the three days of BGMS Season 5’s first Super Weekend. They finished sixth. Gladiators Esports won three and finished 10th, which put them out of the stage entirely.
Match wins are worth 10 placement points at the top of the scale and nothing at all from ninth place down, but they are only part of the sum. Every elimination is a point, and the Super Weekends stack bonuses on top: Powerplay doubles finishes in the opening zone, each team’s in-game leader nominates an Impact Player whose kills count double, and there are 10 points on offer for eliminating the designated Bounty team. A side that farms eliminations and bonuses across 18 matches can finish above a side that won four of them.
Team Tamilas were never in danger
Super Weekend 1 ran from 21 to 23 August at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in Delhi NCR, 16 teams over 18 matches, with the top eight going through to Super Weekend 2 and the bottom eight dropping into League Week 3.
Team Tamilas topped it by close to 40 points, which in a three-day stage is a gap nobody was closing. They took two chicken dinners and were consistent enough across the rest that they never needed a third.
Wyld Fangs finished second on 229 with one chicken dinner, having started slowly and climbed through the back half of the schedule. Team SouL were third on 227 with 113 eliminations. Nebula Esports came fourth on 218 after slipping on the final day, and Elite Nova took fifth on 200 with two chicken dinners of their own. Myth Official were sixth on 197, and Team Outrage seventh on 189 with 98 eliminations.
Four points decided the last spot
GodLike Esports took the eighth and final qualifying place on 185. Team Apex Gaming finished ninth on 181, four points back, and they had two chicken dinners to show for the weekend.
Jelly’s side struggled on the last day and now go into League Week 3 with Gladiators, who won three matches across the weekend and still could not stay in the stage.
Behind them, Reckoning finished 12th on 173, Genesis 13th on 166, Rapid Chaos 14th on 156, Zero Ark 15th on 150 and Epigrotive last on 124.
GodLike stayed up, Orangutan did not
GodLike and Orangutan were the two teams handed direct invitations into Super Weekend 1. They did not play League Week 1, the Bounty Weekend or League Week 2, because they were in Paris at the PMWC Grand Finals, held from 14 to 16 August as part of the Esports World Cup, while the rest of the field worked through the group stage in Delhi.
Walking back from that into a Super Weekend against 14 teams with two weeks of match practice was always going to be awkward, and it showed. GodLike scraped in eighth. Orangutan finished 11th on 174 and are now in League Week 3 with everyone else who missed.
For two of the biggest names in Indian BGMI, and the only two Indian sides at the World Cup this month, that is a thin return on a free pass into the back half of the tournament.
League Week 3 is the second door
The eight teams who dropped out of Super Weekend 1 are not eliminated. League Week 3 started on 24 August and runs to the 27th, 16 teams across 24 matches, and the top eight from it join the Super Weekend 1 qualifiers in Super Weekend 2 from 28 to 30 August.
From there it narrows quickly. The top six of Super Weekend 2 go straight to the Grand Finals, everyone from seventh to 16th drops into the Playoffs from 31 August to 2 September, and the Grand Finals run from 4 to 6 September. The Smash Rule applies on the final day, so once a team passes the points threshold the first match win it takes ends the tournament there and then.
Apex, Orangutan and Gladiators have three days left to make sure they are still in it when that happens.
