Hyper-Catz started Tuesday sixth in the BGMI Showdown’s Lower Bracket Survival, four points outside the qualifying places. They won the day’s first match on Rondo, took 27 points from it and stayed in the top four for the rest of the afternoon.
They finished fourth on 143 points. K9 Esports, MadKings and Vasista Esports are the other three going through, and all four join the semi-finals on Thursday, 8 October. The other 12 teams are out of the tournament.
K9 finish 34 clear
K9 Esports led after all three days. They scored 54 on Tuesday to end on 188, 34 ahead of MadKings, and their 128 finishes were the most in the lobby. They also had three chicken dinners, as did Vasista and Hyper-Catz.
MadKings won match 15 on Erangel, then added more points from match 16 without winning it, and finished second on 154. Vasista won a match on Miramar late on and ended third on 152.
Mysterious4 and Reckoning finish level
Going into Tuesday, the race for fourth looked like iQOO Reckoning Esports against Mysterious4 Esports, separated by a point. Neither got there. Both finished on 120, 23 short of Hyper-Catz, with Mysterious4 fifth and Reckoning sixth.
Lastade Esports finally won a match, but they were too far back by then and ended ninth on 111. RSPT Official won match 16 on Erangel and finished seventh. WePay x Vijay Esports, who were fourth after day one, ended 10th on 90.
What the semi-finals look like
The semi-finals run from 8 to 11 October with 24 teams: 12 from the Qualifiers, eight from the Upper Bracket Survival and these four. They are split into three groups, and each group plays 16 matches over the four days.
Nobody goes out at this stage. The top eight overall go straight to the Grand Finals, and the other 16 get another chance in the Last Chance Qualifiers, which has four places. The Grand Finals are a LAN in Hyderabad from 16 to 18 October, with ₹1 crore in prize money.
