GodLike were tenth after day one, and 78 points on Friday have put them top of the BGMI Showdown semis
Two chicken dinners in six games took GodLike Esports past Team Apex Gaming on the second day of the BMSD 2026 semi-finals in Hyderabad.

GodLike Esports were tenth after the first day of the BGMI Showdown semi-finals, 42 points behind Team Apex Gaming. On Friday they played all six of the day’s matches in Hyderabad, scored 78 points, and went top. They have 102 from nine games. Apex are second on 94.
Apex had led by 23 overnight. They were in three of Friday’s lobbies and added 28 points, which is a fair return, just not one that could hold off a team scoring at GodLike’s rate.
Where GodLike’s points came from
GodLike won two of the six matches, their first chicken dinners of the semi-finals, after Learn From Past had knocked them out early in the opening game on Thursday. Finishes did most of the work: 63 of their 102 points are kills, the most of any team in the field. Apex have 61.
Nebula Esports, who topped the Upper Bracket Survival, played the same six games and went from 33 points to 73. They also took a chicken dinner and are fourth. Vasista Esports are third on 79.
K9 are the team to watch
The more striking number might be K9 Esports’. They have played only six matches, half of them on Friday, and have 71 points and two chicken dinners. That puts them fifth already, and their group has ten games left in the stage while the other two have seven each. Of Friday’s six chicken dinners, GodLike and K9 took two each, Nebula one, and MadKings, from K9’s group, the last.
That group is also where the big names sit. Orangutan, the defending champions, are 23rd on 23 points, and Soul are 17th on 35. Both have played six. The gap to the cut is large. Ten games is still plenty of time to close it.
The cut line
The top eight after 16 matches go straight to the Grand Finals, a LAN in Hyderabad from October 16 to 18. Myth Esports hold eighth on 56, two points ahead of Welt Esports. Hyper-Catz, the Lower Bracket qualifiers, are tenth on 53, and Learn From Past, who were in a qualifying place after day one, have slipped to 19th on 31.
Everyone from ninth down plays the Last Chance stage on October 12 and 13, where four more Grand Finals places are available. There are 12 semi-final matches left, on Saturday and Sunday. GodLike and Apex are close to safe already, and I would not want to be Myth, with seven games to protect a two-point margin over teams that have the same number left.
