Minnu Mani made 88 from 56 balls, and India A Women chased 363 to win the series

India A Women were 119 for 4 in the 20th over, chasing 363 to win the series. Minnu Mani came in later and made 88 not out from 56 balls, and they got there with ten balls to spare. India A won the third unofficial one-dayer at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali by four wickets and took the series 2-1.

It was the second time in three days these teams had gone past 330 in the same match. On Wednesday Australia A chased 339. This time the scores were 362 and 364.

Knott and Webb put on 166

Australia A won the toss and batted, and lost both openers four balls apart. Vaishnavi Sharma bowled Tahlia Wilson for 38 and Rachel Trenaman for 29, and at 76 for 2 in the 13th over India A had a way in.

Charli Knott and Courtney Webb shut it. They added 166 for the third wicket in less than 20 overs, and Knott was the one who pushed it. She made 109 from 70 balls with 12 fours and five sixes before Niki Prasad had her caught by Dinesh Vrinda. Webb went on to 95 from 92 and missed her hundred when she was caught by Tanisha Singh.

Prasad struck twice more in three balls in the 48th over, removing Webb and Sianna Ginger, but Hayley Silver-Holmes hit 19 from eight balls before she was run out off the penultimate ball. Lilly Mills was caught off the last, and Australia A had 362 for 9. Vaishnavi finished with 4 for 48 from her ten overs and was the only Indian bowler who went at under five an over. Prasad also took four, but her ten overs cost 84.

Tanisha and Anushka kept India A in it

India A made a quick start and then lost three wickets for 18. Dinesh Vrinda was caught for 34, Uma Chetry went for 2 and Tejal Hasabnis, who had made 81 and 60 in the first two games, was caught off Mills for 2. That was 85 for 3 in the 15th over.

Tanisha Singh made 60 from 58 balls with 11 fours before Knott had her caught by Webb, and the captain Anushka Sharma kept the rate going with 58 from 42 balls, three of them sixes. When she was caught off Mills at 210 for 5 in the 31st over, India A still needed 153.

Prasad and Mani win it

Niki Prasad, who had just been taken for 84 in her ten overs, and Mani put on 107 for the sixth wicket. Prasad made 76 from 71 balls before Silver-Holmes ran her out in the 43rd over, with 46 still wanted.

Mani did not slow down. She hit 12 fours and three sixes, and Jintimani Kalita, batting at eight, stayed with her for 19 not out from 19 balls. The pair added an unbroken 47 and finished it in the 49th over.

Mani had also bowled her ten overs for 56 without a wicket, and she ran out Silver-Holmes at the end of the Australian innings. Nobody will remember the 0 for 56.

Australia A had won all three unofficial T20Is before the one-dayers started. India A have now won two of the three 50-over games.
