The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, was built for the 2007 World Cup and named after the great West Indies batter. It holds about 10,000, and has two main stands, the Northern Stand and the five-storey South Stand. Most of the roughly US$60 million it cost came from a Chinese government grant.
It has staged 21 T20 internationals, the first on 19 May 2010, when South Africa beat West Indies by 13 runs, and the latest on 23 June 2024, when South Africa beat them again in the T20 World Cup Super 8s. It has also hosted 15 Tests and 24 ODIs. The records below are for T20 internationals only.
