Arsenal set £30m asking price for Gabriel Jesus as AC Milan and Juventus circle

Gabriel Jesus looks increasingly likely to leave Arsenal this summer after the club set an asking price of £30 million for the Brazilian forward. With just one year remaining on his contract, which expires in June 2027, the Gunners have limited leverage and appear ready to cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Serie A interest grows
AC Milan and Juventus have both made contact with Jesus's camp, according to multiple reports. The two Italian clubs are searching for a technically gifted forward who can add quality in the final third, and Jesus fits the profile. A move to Italy could also suit the player. The physical demands of Serie A are generally lower than the Premier League, which matters for a forward whose pace has been affected by recurring knee injuries over the past two seasons.
Why Arsenal are willing to sell
The picture at the Emirates has shifted. Viktor Gyokeres arrived as Mikel Arteta's preferred centre-forward, and Kai Havertz has also moved ahead of Jesus in the pecking order. The 29-year-old has found himself stuck on the bench more often than not, and recent reports suggest he has no intention of signing a new deal.
Jesus was quoted over the weekend saying the "situation has changed" at Arsenal and that he wants to be a first-choice player again. That is not going to happen at the Emirates, not with Gyokeres leading the line and Arsenal chasing the Premier League title.
Wages remain the sticking point
There is a catch. Jesus earns a reported £265,000 per week, a figure that sits well outside the salary structure at both Milan and Juventus. Unless he accepts a significant pay cut, a deal will be difficult to complete. Italian clubs have tightened their budgets in recent seasons, and neither is in a position to match Premier League wages without careful financial planning.
Atletico Madrid have also been mentioned as a possible destination, with Arsenal reportedly willing to let both Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli leave in the same window. The coming weeks should bring more clarity, but Jesus's time at Arsenal appears to be winding down.
