BMPS 2026 semifinals begin in Delhi as 24 teams chase a Jaipur finals spot

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2026 reaches its sharp end this week. The BMPS 2026 Semifinals get under way on Tuesday at the Nodwin Gaming Arena in Delhi NCR, and for the 24 teams that have survived the long qualifying grind, this is where the tournament stops being a numbers game and starts being a fight for a seat at the Grand Finals.

How the semifinals work

The 24 sides have been split into three groups of eight and will play a double round-robin across four days, which works out to 16 matches per team before the dust settles. Every game counts toward a single combined leaderboard once the stage is done, so there is no hiding behind one good day.

The cut is brutal at both ends. The top six teams on that overall table book a direct place in the Grand Finals. Everyone from seventh to 22nd drops into a Last Chance Stage to scrap for the remaining spots, and the bottom two are knocked out of the tournament entirely. For a side that has come this far, finishing 23rd would be a miserable way to bow out.

Familiar names back in the mix

The qualifier rounds did what they usually do in BGMI, which is refuse to respect reputation. Big organisations had to grind through alongside everyone else, and the field still carries plenty of names that pull a crowd. Revenant XSpark, Gods Reign and Genesis Esports are among the 24, alongside the likes of Apex Gaming and Team Tamilas. That is part of what makes the BMPS format so watchable. A roster that wins a Chicken Dinner on the back of a clean late-game rotation one match can be third-partied out of contention the next.

The double round-robin format softens the variance a little, since one bad map will not sink a strong team, but consistency over 16 games is its own kind of pressure. The squads that thrive tend to be the ones that can take the safe points on quiet days and not force fights they do not need.

The road to Jaipur

What everyone here is chasing is a spot at the BMPS 2026 Grand Finals, a LAN event scheduled for June 19 to 21 at the Jaipur Convention Center. The series carries a prize pool of four crore rupees, with 60 lakh going to the champion, and there is a bigger prize on top of the money: two slots at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh are on the line, which turns this from a domestic title race into a passport out of the country.

All the semifinal action will stream on the Krafton India Esports YouTube channel in both Hindi and English from Tuesday. Four days, 24 teams, and only a handful of them will walk out still standing.
