India beat Netherlands by 17 runs in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Group A clash

After winning the toss and electing to bat, India posted 193/6 in their 20 overs. Shivam Dube led the charge with a rapid 66 off 31 deliveries, anchoring the middle overs and accelerating the scoring rate. India maintained momentum despite early setbacks at the top of the order.
In reply, Netherlands finished on 176/7 from their 20 overs. The chase remained competitive through the middle phase, but India’s bowling unit controlled proceedings in the latter stages to prevent a late surge.
Varun Chakravarthy delivered a decisive spell, returning figures of 3/14 to restrict the Netherlands’ scoring options during the chase. His breakthroughs in the middle overs shifted the balance firmly in India’s favour.
The result ensured India completed the Group A stage with a perfect record and secured top position heading into the Super Eight phase of the tournament.
