Manchester City head to Bournemouth needing a Vitality win to keep the Premier League title race alive

Manchester City arrive at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night with one job. Beat Bournemouth, or hand Mikel Arteta's Arsenal the Premier League title.

Pep Guardiola's side sit five points behind Arsenal with a game in hand, a gap that swung open thanks to Kai Havertz's header against Burnley on Monday. Anything less than three points at the Vitality and the championship is gone, leaving Arsenal to seal a first title since 2004 with a trip to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

A Vitality that has not given way all winter

This is also the toughest road test left on City's calendar. Bournemouth have lost only twice at home in the Premier League this season, a number matched only by City themselves, and the Vitality has not seen a defeat since Arsenal's 3-2 win on January 3. Sixteen league games unbeaten in total, with eight wins and eight draws, and statement results against Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle dotted through the run. Of every visiting side, only Arsenal and Everton have walked out of the Vitality with all three points this season.

Iraola's swansong and a Bournemouth squad short of bodies

For Andoni Iraola, who is leaving Bournemouth at the end of the campaign, this is the penultimate home game of a three-year spell in which the Cherries have climbed steadily into European contention. The Spaniard is also missing Matai Akinmboni and Julio Soler to injury, with Ryan Christie suspended. Even so, his side will fancy themselves on a ground where only Arsenal and Everton have left with three points all season.

Haaland's record and Guardiola's farewell

Erling Haaland walks in on 26 Premier League goals and eight assists from 34 appearances, leading the Golden Boot race once again. For Guardiola himself, this is the penultimate league match of a decade-long tenure he has confirmed will end at the close of the season, with Enzo Maresca widely reported as the man being lined up at the Etihad next term. A win here takes the title race into Sunday's closing weekend; defeat or a draw turns it into a coronation parade for Arsenal.
