BMPS 2026 Round 3 opens today with the new groups locked in and the path to Jaipur narrowing fast

After two rounds of reshuffles, Round 3 is where the BMPS 2026 promotion-relegation system actually starts to bite. Six matches across four days that decide who arrives at the final qualifier round with a shot at Jaipur and who arrives one slip away from elimination.

BMPS 2026's Qualifiers move to Round 3 from Saturday, May 16, with the first reshuffled groups under Indian BGMI's first-ever promotion-relegation system locked in and 6 matches per team across Erangel, Miramar and Rondo to settle who is still in the conversation for Jaipur.

The new Group A is the cleaner story. iQOO Team Tamilas walked out of Round 2 as the side already in Group A, and they have been joined by the four teams that came up from Group B at the end of Round 2. The most prominent of those is K9 Esports, which topped Group B on day two of Round 2 and earned a Group A seat for Round 3. GodLike Esports, iQOO SOUL and iQOO Revenant XSpark are all in there too, alongside Nebula Esports, Welt Esports and a few of the cleaner-running mid-table outfits from Round 2. Six wins of 6 here and you are within touching distance of the top eight at the end of Round 4, the bracket that skips the Survival Stage and goes straight to the Grand Finals in Jaipur.

Group B is where most of the noise will come from

Zero Ark Official, who topped Group C on Day 2 of Round 2, are the biggest name in the new Group B. They are alongside iQOO 8Bit, Myth Official, Gods Reign, Godsent Esports, Team REDXROSS, Genesis Esports and the rest of the climbers from Group C and the relegated names from the old Group A. The size of that talent pool, the depth of late-game shotcalling on display in Round 2, and the fact that the top four here climb to Group A again at the end of Round 3 make this the group that will probably set the broadcast story.

Group C is the most exposed group of the lot. Team Apex Gaming, who topped Round 2's Group C on opening day before fading, drop into the new Group C alongside Team AX (who walked out of Round 2 as Group D winners) and the climbers from the old Group D. They are six matches away from either climbing back into the picture or sliding into Group D for Round 4, the final qualifier round before the eliminations bite. There is no soft cushion left.

Group D and the relegation stakes

Group D is the cliff edge. 7Aces, Godsent Legions, Santa Esports, T7x Orion, OOPS Official and the rest of the names that have not so far been able to climb out are facing six matches that decide whether they head into Round 4 with a climb still on the table or stuck deep in Group D when the eliminations land. At the end of Round 4, the last qualifier round before the Survival Stage, the bottom eight of Group D are eliminated from BMPS 2026 entirely under the format Krafton published before the season. Round 3 is the round that decides whether you arrive at Round 4 with one foot already off the cliff.

The structure under all of this is the same one Krafton has been advertising since the season opened on May 6. Top four in Groups B, C and D move up; bottom four in Groups A, B and C drop. Six matches per cycle, reshuffle, repeat. The prize pool sits at over ₹2 crore. The two BGMI slots at the Esports World Cup 2026 go to the team highest on the overall KRAFTON India Esports leaderboard plus the BMPS 2026 champion (the runners-up if the same side takes both), which is why Round 3 matters even to teams already locked into Group A. Standings on the overall KIE leaderboard are still moving every match.

When and where to watch

Round 3 runs May 16 to 19 on the official KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel, with matches starting at 3:30 pm IST each day. Six matches per team, four days, three maps in rotation. By Tuesday evening the next reshuffle is live and Round 4 is set up.
