BGIS 2026 Grand Finals kick off in Chennai on Friday with 16 teams chasing a 4 crore prize pool

Sixteen teams, three days, 18 matches, 4 crore in prize money. The BGIS 2026 Grand Finals arrive at the Chennai Trade Centre on Friday and the field is stacked with some of the biggest names in Indian mobile esports.
Format and schedule
The Grand Finals run from March 27 to March 29 as a LAN event, meaning every team plays on stage in front of a live audience. Six matches will be played each day, with the overall standings across all 18 games determining the champion. Consistency over three days matters more than a single big game here.
The 16 qualified teams
Team Soul, Orangutan, GodLike Esports and Revenant XSpark are among the biggest names to have qualified. They are joined by Genesis Esports, Learn From Past, Reckoning Esports, Victores Sumus, Meta Ninza, Welt Esports, Nebula Esports, Myth Official, Wyld Fangs, K9 Esports, Team Tamilas and Vasista Esports.
Team Soul topped the semi-final standings to book their spot, while iQOO Orangutan were dominant on Day 3 of the semis. GodLike, who have been a fixture at the top of Indian BGMI since the game's early days, will fancy their chances at a LAN event where crowd energy can swing momentum.
IPL meets BGMI
The timing is no coincidence. KRAFTON India has leaned heavily into IPL crossovers this month, rolling out CSK-themed content on March 21 and KKR-branded skins, vehicles and photo booth locations on March 25. The BGIS Grand Finals landing one day before the IPL opener is part of a deliberate push to capture the attention of cricket and gaming fans at the same time.
What to watch for
Team Soul and GodLike are the sentimental picks given their track record, but LAN events tend to throw up surprises. Meta Ninza were the best team in the semi-final opener and Learn From Past led the standings after Day 2. Any of the 16 squads could put together a run over three days if they hit form at the right time.
