Arsenal target Kvaratskhelia as Liverpool add Conceicao to Salah replacement shortlist

The summer transfer window is still months away, but the biggest clubs in England are already laying the groundwork. Arsenal and Liverpool both had busy days on the rumour circuit, with each club linked to high-profile attacking targets as they try to build squads capable of winning the league next season.
Arsenal go after Kvaratskhelia
Arsenal are reported to have concrete interest in PSG winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The 25-year-old Georgian joined PSG from Napoli in January 2025 for around 70 million euros and still has three years left on his contract in Paris, running until 2029.
PSG see Kvaratskhelia as close to unsellable. He is a regular starter and the club views him as central to their project going forward. But his representatives are said to be open to the idea of a move to Arsenal, which gives the Gunners at least a foothold in what would be a complicated negotiation.
Kvaratskhelia publicly said he was happy at PSG back in February. Whether that has changed or his camp is simply keeping options open is difficult to read from the outside, but Arsenal are clearly doing their homework.
Liverpool look at Conceicao to replace Salah
With Mohamed Salah confirmed to be leaving at the end of the season, Liverpool’s search for a replacement is picking up speed. Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao has been added to their watchlist, according to multiple reports.
Conceicao is 22, Portuguese, and signed permanently with Juventus last summer after an initial loan from Porto. His contract runs until 2030 and Juventus consider him a key player, which means any deal would require a significant fee. He has contributed three goals and three assists in Serie A this season.
Liverpool’s preferred target remains Michael Olise at Bayern Munich, but Bayern have shown no willingness to sell. Conceicao, along with RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and PSG’s Bradley Barcola, forms part of a broader shortlist that Liverpool are working through.
Goretzka favours Arsenal as Bayern exit looms
In another boost for Arsenal, Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka reportedly prefers a move to the Emirates when his contract expires this summer. Goretzka and Bayern have mutually agreed not to extend his deal, making him available as a free agent.
The German international is said to want a contract until 2029 worth around seven million euros per year, plus a 10 million euro signing bonus. AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, Napoli and Tottenham have all shown interest, but Arsenal remain his first choice according to several reports.
Whether Arsenal actually want Goretzka is another question. With Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey already in the midfield, some analysts have questioned whether Goretzka would even fit into Mikel Arteta’s plans. But as a free agent, the financial risk is low enough to make it worth exploring.
Other moves to watch
Casemiro is heading for the exit at Manchester United when his contract expires in June. MLS clubs Inter Miami and LA Galaxy have both expressed interest, while Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia are circling. Some reports describe a Saudi move as almost certain.
Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has been offered to several Premier League clubs through intermediaries, with Manchester United the most frequently mentioned destination. Davies signed a contract extension with Bayern until 2030 last year, but recurring injury problems have reportedly softened the club’s stance on a potential sale.
