The BGIS 2026 Wildcard stage runs from March 5 to 8 and represents the last realistic route into the semi-finals for 32 teams that fell short in the Quarter Finals and Round 4. Eight spots are up for grabs, and only the top eight from the combined Wildcard standings will advance.

How the Wildcard works

Krafton India has placed the 32 teams into four groups. Twenty-four of them finished between 17th and 40th in the Quarter Finals, while the remaining eight came from positions 57 to 64 in Round 4. Each group plays a round-robin across four days, with six matches each day across the maps Erangel, Rondo and Miramar. That works out at 12 matches per group over the course of the stage.

The format is straightforward: rack up points across your matches, and finish in the overall top eight to earn a semi-final berth.

Teams to watch

Several familiar names feature across the four groups. Group A includes MYTH Esports and Aesthetic Esports, while Group B has Kalinga Esports and Infinix True Rippers. Group C features Victores Sumus alongside Phoenix Esports, and Group D is headlined by iQOO Reckoning Esports and 8BIT, two squads with significant fan followings in the Indian BGMI scene.

The full group breakdown:

Group A: Team Icmicals, Nebula Esports, Blind Rippers, Tenz, HIGG BOSON, MYTH Esports, Aesthetic Esports, NonX

Group B: Kalinga Esports, Infinix True Rippers, K9, NQSH, GENxFM Esports, Lastade Esports, PCUP Esports, Vanguard

Group C: Victores Sumus, Frostrex Esports, Phoenix Esports, Gods For Reason, T7 Esports, Team H4K, Blink Esports, TRX Esports

Group D: ORB Esports, RedForce Esports, Windgod Esports, Riotnationz, 7AcesxTRB Esports, iQOO Reckoning Esports, Thundergods Esports, 8BIT

Road to the LAN finals in Chennai

The eight Wildcard qualifiers will join the top 16 from the Quarter Finals in the semi-finals, which feed directly into the BGIS 2026 Grand Finale. That LAN event takes place at the Chennai Trade Centre from March 27 to 29, with a total prize pool of Rs 2 crore. The winning team walks away with Rs 60 lakh.

Krafton India has also tightened its anti-cheat systems for the tournament, a move that has been broadly welcomed by the competitive community after previous editions saw controversy around fair play.

All Wildcard matches stream live on the Krafton India Esports YouTube channel in Hindi and English.
