Batting first, West Indies posted 165/6 in their 20 overs. Shai Hope anchored the innings with 75 off 46 deliveries, providing stability through the middle overs and accelerating when required to lift the total beyond the 160-mark.

Italy’s bowlers managed to take wickets at regular intervals but were unable to prevent West Indies from building momentum during the latter stages of the innings.

In response, Italy were bowled out for 123 in 18 overs. Benjamin Manenti top-scored with 26 off 21 balls, but the chase struggled to gain sustained momentum against disciplined West Indies bowling.

Shamar Joseph produced a decisive spell, claiming 4/30, while Matthew Forde supported effectively with 3/19 to dismantle Italy’s batting line-up and seal the result with two overs remaining.

The victory strengthened West Indies’ position in the group stage, while Italy were left needing a turnaround in their remaining fixtures to stay in contention.
