Khephren Thuram's future at Juventus looks increasingly uncertain after the Serie A club put a price tag of around 40 million euros on the France international, opening the door for a summer move to the Premier League. Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle have all been in contact with the Turin club's representatives, according to multiple reports, with United believed to be leading the chase.

Casemiro's exit clears the path

United's interest in Thuram makes particular sense given the confirmed departure of Casemiro, who will leave Old Trafford on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season. The Brazilian midfielder's exit frees up significant wages and leaves a gap in the engine room that the 25-year-old Thuram could fill.

Thuram joined Juventus from Nice in July 2024 for around 20 million euros and has established himself as a regular in Luciano Spalletti's midfield. His ability to cover ground, distribute under pressure and drive forward with the ball has caught the attention of clubs across Europe, but England is where the strongest interest lies.

Liverpool and Newcastle also in the frame

Liverpool have made contact about the midfielder as part of their own summer rebuild, though their pursuit of Champions League football next season remains uncertain and could affect their pulling power. Newcastle are also monitoring the situation and have enquired about terms, adding a third English bidder to the mix.

Juventus initially hoped to keep Thuram as part of their long-term project, but his relatively low salary of two million euros a year and the prospect of a significant profit on their original investment have made a sale increasingly attractive. Some reports suggest the final price could climb closer to 60 million euros if a bidding war develops, though Juventus have publicly indicated a willingness to negotiate at around 40 million.

A familiar surname heading for England

A move would bring a second member of France's most famous footballing family into the spotlight. His older brother Marcus plays for Inter Milan, while their father Lilian is a 1998 World Cup winner and one of the finest defenders of his generation. Khephren operates in a different role entirely, playing as a box-to-box midfielder who combines defensive discipline with forward drive.

The summer transfer window does not open until June 15, leaving time for the situation to develop further. But all signs point toward Thuram leaving Turin, and the Premier League looks the most likely destination.
