India, New Zealand and England make strong starts at T20 World Cup

In Group A, India defeated the United States by 29 runs, while Pakistan secured a three-wicket win over the Netherlands. The Dutch later bounced back with a seven-wicket victory against Namibia.
Group B saw Sri Lanka claim a 20-run win over Ireland, and Zimbabwe record an eight-wicket triumph against Oman.
England survived a late scare to beat Nepal by four runs in Group C, while West Indies defeated Scotland by 35 runs before Scotland responded with a commanding 73-run victory over Italy.
In Group D, New Zealand continued their strong start with consecutive wins — first a five-wicket victory over Afghanistan and then a 10-wicket rout of the UAE. South Africa also impressed with a 57-run win against Canada.
The tournament now builds towards several high-profile clashes, including the much-anticipated India v Pakistan fixture on 15 February in Colombo.
The knockout stages begin on 21 February, with the final scheduled for 8 March.
