The Pro Kabaddi Season 11 league stage is headed towards its climax with two teams vying for the remaining PKL 2024 playoff spot.

U Mumba are one of the teams still in contention for Pro Kabaddi Season 11 Playoffs.

Pro Kabaddi Season 2 champions U Mumba have struggled to reach the PKL playoffs after finishing 10th, ninth and 10th in the previous three editions of the league.

In the Pro Kabaddi 2024 season, the Sunil Kumar-led U Mumba are once again in the race to qualify for the PKL 2024 playoffs.

Having registered 11 wins, two ties and suffered eight losses, U Mumba are currently placed sixth in the Pro Kabaddi 2024 standings with 66 points from 21 matches.

Haryana Steelers, Dabang Delhi K.C., Patna Pirates, UP Yoddhas and Jaipur Pink Panthers have already qualified for the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 playoffs.

Meanwhile, Haryana Steelers and Dabang Delhi K.C have already sealed a top-two finish and have directly qualified for the PKL 11 semi-finals.

The likes of Patna Pirates, UP Yoddhas and Jaipur Pink Panthers have secured an eliminator berth in PKL 11.

With five PKL 11 playoff spots already booked, there is only one remaining qualification spot up for grabs.

Apart from U Mumba, Telugu Titans are also in contention to claim the final PKL playoff spot.

How can U Mumba qualify for PKL 11 playoffs

U Mumba need just one point in their final league match against Bengal Warriorz to qualify for PKL 11 playoffs.

While U Mumba and Telugu Titans are currently tied on overall points, U Mumba are the overwhelming favourites to qualify for PKL 11 playoffs with one game in hand.

Hence, U Mumba need to avoid losing to Bengal Warriorz by seven points to secure one point from their final PKL 11 league fixture on Tuesday, December 24. 

Even if U Mumba suffer defeat by more than seven points, they need to ensure they don’t lose by a score difference of 48 points or more to maintain a better net score difference over Telugu Titans.

On the other hand, the Titans have an outside chance to qualify for PKL 11 playoffs. The Pawan Sehrawat-led side will hope Bengal Warriors beat U Mumba by 48 points or more to help them squeeze into the PKL 11 playoffs.

The Pro Kabaddi League is all set to go global as PKL superstars will travel to Australia for the PKL Melbourne Raid event on Saturday, December 28.

Organised by the Victorian Government, the PKL Melbourne Raid event will see two exhibition matches to be staged at the iconic John Cain Arena after stumps on Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test between Australia and India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

PKL All Star Mavericks will square off against PKL All Star Masters in the first match while Aussie Raiders will lock horns with Pro Kabaddi All Stars in the second exhibition fixture.

Under coach BC Ramesh, the PKL All Star Masters will be led by Anup Kumar. Maninder Singh, Sandeep Narwal, Rakesh Kumar and Nitesh Kumar are some of the other PKL stars included in the squad.

The PKL All Star Mavericks have also assembled a formidable squad under E.Bhaskaran. The Ajay Thakur-led Mavericks also features Pardeep Narwal, Sachin Tanwar, Deepak Hooda, Nitin Rawal, Nitesh Kumar and Mayur Kadam.

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11 began on Friday, October 18 as Telugu Titans defeated Bengaluru Bulls 37-29 in the opening match at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

Organised by Mashal Sports, the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 will be staged in a three-city caravan format. 

The first leg of the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 will be held at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium before moving to Noida Indoor Stadium from November 10. The third leg of the tournament will take place at the Balewadi Badminton Stadium in Pune from December 3. The dates and venues for the playoffs will be announced by the organisers towards the end of the league stage matches.

Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi K.C, Gujarat Giants, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivas, Telugu Titans, U Mumba and U.P. Yoddhas are the teams that are competing for the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 title.

As per the Pro Kabaddi Season 11 schedule, each team will play the other side twice in a double round-robin format. The top six teams after all league matches will qualify for the playoffs. 

The top two teams in the standings will advance automatically to the PKL Season 11 semi-finals. The remaining four teams will lock horns in the eliminators.

The third-placed team will face the sixth-placed side, while the fourth-placed outfit will square off against the fifth-placed team in the eliminators for a place in the semi-finals.

A total of 137 matches will be staged across three months in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11.
